Name:Dam and millpond 150m east of Cheersgreen Farm

This site of a medieval dam and millpond is a Scheduled Monument though the associated watermill cannot be traced. Pollen analysis suggests a date of mid 15th century for construction. It was abandoned around 1750 and was dry until reinstated in 1977. A dry leat (water channel) runs from the pond towards Cheersgreen Farm.
