Summary
A Bronze Age barrow at Ginclough is a Scheduled Monument. It is a turf covered round barrow on a small terrace on a southwest facing slope. An undocumented investigation of the barrow's centre has left a hollow 4m in diameter and 0.3m deep, approached by shallow trench from the south west
Round barrows are a type of burial mound, particularly used in the Bronze Age. Mounds of earth and stone were placed over a burial or cremation. A single barrow could be re-used for several later burials.
