Name:Mound at Lane End Farm

Summary

A low mound is situated on a low ridge, immediately south of Ashton Village. The earthwork is 30m diameter at base and 1.2m high, with flat top. It has been reduced by ploughing. It is crossed by farmyard walls. It has been classed as a Motte though further investigation is needed to prove this.
